 For this blog, I decided to take on the task of imagining myself as a set designer! I just had to imagine four scenes I'd ever like to create, and then I made four mood boards (collages) to highlight/visualize different elements of these scenes, such as location, set, props, actors, lighting, and color. Scene 1;  When constructing this image, I chose a park setting with open spaces in the grass, with picnic tables and a picnic blanket on the grass to suggest relaxation, community, and the togetherness of a school trip. I added  items  like food, a book, a ukulele, and some games because I wanted the scene to feel playful and relaxed while still showing that the gathering had a special, meaningful vibe. I identified different elements of films by analyzing their opening scenes. 0:00 - 0:11: The scene begins with a close-up shot of a camera flash, this sudden burst of light immediately draws the audiences attention and transitions into a mid shot and establishing shot of main character’s Carl and Ellie. It also includes close-up shots of the friends/people in attendance of their wedding. This use of intimate close-up shots allow the audience to feel personally connected and to think that they are at the wedding, the mid shot shows both of their perspectives toward getting married, they are both smiling and happy and that transitions into the establishing shot to show where they are getting married (a church) and the overall happiness/good vibes emanating from this section.  For this blog, I went ahead and decided to take some videos of my friends just doing random things around the library and decided to incorporate them into my assignment! My Camera Movements/Shots: Static Shot: For this shot, I have my camera set up on a tripod, so I can get a clear, non-shaky shot of me and my friends playing ring a round a rosie.  This shot can give somebody a strong feeling of friendship and belonging, as they are looking in on a fun, carefree moment.  Handheld: This shot is taken straight from my phone camera and I have no stands or professional cameras, so, it is showing the shakiness of my hands. This evokes feelings of horror as the guy being watched, Alex Jones, has mixed opinions that may be controversial.
